Description
Round Structure
Each match consists of several short rounds. A round starts with a 60-second build phase where both players simultaneously arrange their grid. They place resource generators to earn income, troop production buildings to create units, and defensive structures to protect their territory. After the timer ends, the battle phase begins automatically. Units and defenses engage the opponent's forces without further player input. The player who wins the round earns a point. The first to reach four points wins the match.
Resource Management
A key element is the movable Harvest Zone. Players can drag this zone across tiles to collect resources where they are most needed. This allows for flexible resource management and strategic planning. Players must decide whether to invest in more generators for long-term income or upgrade existing structures for immediate strength. Balancing economy and army strength is crucial during the build phase.
Strategic Depth
Victory depends on choices made during that minute: positioning, timing, upgrades, and unit composition. Players experiment with different placements and upgrade paths to discover powerful synergies. Adapting to the opponent's strategy is essential. Each match offers a fresh puzzle of how to outmaneuver the other player within the tight time limit.
Match Flow
Matches are designed for quick gaming sessions. The combination of a timed build phase and automatic battles keeps the pace fast. There is no manual control during combat, so all preparation happens in the build phase. This structure rewards careful planning and quick decision-making under pressure. Players learn from each match to refine their approach.
